An eggette is a spherical egg-based waffle popular as “street snacks” in Hong Kong and Macao. It is referred to by its original Cantonese name, gai daan jai (鸡蛋仔 ,which literally translates to "little chicken eggs“), and in English, an egg puff, bubble waffle, eggette or puffle. These cute snacks are now available at Q Zai where eggettes of various flavours are available.
