The owner, Madam Leong, is a single mother who was depressed and going through tough times when she decided to persevere and make the move from a housewife to a hawker. Using her mother’s recipe, Madam Leong serves Hakka-style, MSG-free ban mian with freshly handmade noodles, broth and sauces. The noodles are made daily with egg, flour, and water, giving it a springy texture. Other than soup mee hoon kway and dry ban mian, the store also offers vinegar pig’s trotter in claypot, braised pork belly with black fungus, seafood tom yum soup, and many more.
